Job Description

As an Energy Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting smarter energy decisions – both internally and for a wide range of clients. With access to large data sets, real-time usage information, and billing insights, you’ll be at the heart of uncovering trends and turning numbers into action.

You'll be working across departments and directly engaging with external stakeholders, energy suppliers, and technical teams to drive change through better data. From designing automated reporting processes to creating impactful dashboards, this role offers both creative and technical challenges to keep you engaged and progressing.

If you’re someone who thrives on digging into detail, spotting trends, and simplifying complexity, this position will allow you to make a real difference in how buildings are managed and energy is used. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership, identify opportunities for automation, and play a proactive role in improving data quality and insight delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain master data and user access
  • Liaise with internal teams and external clients to understand data needs
  • Engage with energy suppliers for ongoing access to consumption and billing data
  • Ensure quality assurance of all imported data
  • Handle confidential data in line with company policies
  • Design, maintain and improve the reporting environment (data sources, security, metadata)
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve and automate data processes
  • Set up automated data workflows and reporting mechanisms
  • Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits
  • Develop and produce performance indicators, visual dashboards, and analytical reports

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in data analysis and large data set handling
  • A degree in a relevant subject
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insight
  • Report writing and visual presentation experience
  • An understanding of BMS and building operations (desirable, not essential)

What’s in it for you?

  • A high-impact role with real purpose in the energy and sustainability space
  • Exposure to BMS and smart building technology (ideal for those looking to grow in this niche)
  • The chance to work with a wide variety of data – from consumption and cost to operational efficiency
  • Hands-on involvement in automating processes and building innovative dashboards
  • A supportive environment that values curiosity, learning, and improvement

Benefits:

  • Car/Allowance.
  • Company performance bonus.
  • Flexible benefits scheme - discounts/vouchers/rewards.
  • Medical cover.
  • 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
  • Company Pension.
  • Training & Development
  • Career Progression.
