Job Description
You like fixing what others can’t. You spot the fault, make a plan, and leave the site running better than you found it. If that sounds like you, this Support Engineer role gives you a Midlands patch, a solid salary, a broad benefits package and the backing of an independently employee-owned BMS business that invests in its people.
You’ll look after customer sites across the Midlands, carrying out planned maintenance, fault-finding, and small remedial work on live BMS systems. You’ll be trusted to run your day properly, with enough time to engineer well and document what you’ve done so the building stays reliable long after you’ve left.
What you’ll work on
- PPMs, diagnostics and optimisation on Trend and Schneider systems
- Small repairs and remedial works that make a measurable difference to plant performance
- Routine inspections to keep systems stable and efficient
- Call-outs for breakdowns on a rota, plus clear reporting and client updates
What you’ll bring
- Building controls experience and a good grasp of mechanical plant
- Confident diagnostics skills and structured fault-finding
- Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
- PC literacy and a full UK driving licence
- Nice to have: Siemens, Tridium and EcoStruxure. Training is available if you’ve got the right mindset.
What’s in it for you
- £45,000–£55,000 basic, plus a generous bonus scheme
- Standby allowance for the call-out rota
- Wide-ranging company car scheme including EVs, or a monthly car allowance
- 6% employer pension contribution
- Private medical insurance with BUPA
- Life assurance at 4x salary
- 25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with the option to buy 3 more
- Cyclescheme up to £2,500
- Employee ownership after 12 months, so you share in the success you help create
If you’re the kind of engineer who likes interrogating live systems, leaving tidy panels and knowing the BMS you just worked on is better than you found it, you’ll handle this well and be recognised for it.
